Our European Cuisine
As chef and owner of Al's Cafe, I have developed a very European-inspired dinner menu. In the past, I have created entrees focused mainly on French and Italian cuisines to positive reviews.  To celebrate Oktoberfest, I thought it would be nice to introduce some classic German dishes.  My culinary studies started in Germany, so I wanted to bring back some of my favorite dishes.  The phone calls resulting from Oktoberfest menu have never stopped, and the enormous success of the German dishes motivated us to extend the German cuisine throughout the year.

Some of the items featured are the same dishes we prepared at Wald-Hotel am Notschrei in the Black Forest located in the southern part of Germany's most famous ski resort.  There you will find a blend of foods that have been inspired by Austrian, German, Swiss and Hungarian chefs.  My favorite dish is Beef Rouladen, made with lean beef and stuffed with bacon, pickle and onion, draped in a sauce made with a variety of spices and herbs.  There are many preparations, but the recipe we use holds true to its roots.  To offset this rich dish, we serve it with mashed potatoes and traditional red cabbage.  Since tradition stipulates a main course be in combination with different foods and rich flavors, a blend of roasted vegetables is added to complete the dish.

                                                                             -- Chef Tony

P.S. And don't forget that we have a full bar, beer and wine to complement your meal!
